As an agency that focuses on providing clients with all-around communication consulting, the opportunity to follow up on the production of special projects, which therefore deviate from the normal activities of a pr agency, arises more and more often.
Special projects can be expected on specific occasions such as the launch of a new product, fashion or design week. This category mainly includes events, every aspect of which we take care of, from the choice of suppliers to the set-up.

Edicola EspressOh.

For the launch of the foundation OhMyGlow of the indie beauty brand Espressoh we chose the newsstand of Piazza XXIV Maggio in Milan and the newsstand Erno in Rome. We gave temporary shops a totally new concept and image. To tell the new product to our stakeholders – journalists, Kol and influencers, we chose to produce a publication similar to a newspaper, and, consequently, the idea of supporting us for the launch at some newsstands set up for the occasion came naturally. Natural but not at all obvious, so much so that the operation has become a case history of great success and has also been replicated by several brands in the industry and not. Through media relations and digital pr activities we have narrated and documented everything on various platforms and social profiles and on national online and offline newspapers.

Pietro Terzini x Davines

Be My Guest

For one month during Milan Design Week, we rented the Brera Design Apartment, a very Milanese and sought-after multifunctional apartment/space in the heart of the historical district Brera, and transformed it into the apartment of the imaginary “Sciuramaria.” The “Sciuramaria,” a lively middle-aged Milanese lady, was the ploy we devised to host a temporary exhibition of selected Italian and European design brands inside the apartment. The exhibition was dedicated only to insiders and could only be accessed by invitation and through a secret word previously communicated. It was specifically a public relations effort in which we gave the various brands significant visibility in kol, rather than in the media.

Progetto EROC @ Davines Village

To strengthen the Davines community by enhancing its activities of transparency, sustainability and resposibility towards environmental protection, we invited a dozen talent/content creators to visit Davines Village, the company’s almost entirely energy self-sufficient headquarters in Parma, Italy. The focus of the experience was to delve into the role of EROC-the regenerative organic farming field owned by Davines in which the ingredients behind their products are grown, followed by lunch in the company’s enchanting secret garden. To cap off the day, the influencers involved in the experience had the opportunity to test Davines products firsthand, either through a short lecture on their preparation and composition or through treatments designed specifically for the needs of their hair.

Ahu Studio @ Alcova 2023

During Alcova 2023, Ahu Studio, a design duo founded by Eda and Mevce, exhibited a selection of one-of-a-kind pieces from their new range in an unexpected setting full of historical significance. Their objects entered into an active relationship with the context of the abandoned Porta Vittoria slaughterhouse in which they were displayed. The new series of Tepsi objects, born from the sculptural elements of their furniture, was a continuation of the Modern Heirlooms collection. To create a bridge between beauty and functionality, the segments of the pieces were formed by different masters and then assembled into a single piece, conveying the different knowledge and techniques of each craftsman. During the exhibition, we had the opportunity to introduce the designers and objects to several industry and non-industry journalists and various notable personalities in the design industry.

Brita Design Week 2023

On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2023, we brought to life the “Redesign your future!” project by BRITA, a leading company in drinking water treatment. In a prestigious location such as the Fondazione Catella and through the partnership with Isola Design Festival, we made the Earth’s most precious resource, water, the protagonist of a unique event that, in addition to showcasing the company’s new image and presenting all its product offerings, brought a strong message of awareness and culture to sustainability, with an eye to the needs of the market and more conscious consumers. Also among the most interesting moments of exchange were the DIDAYSTalks – Design Week Edition powered by BRITA and in collaboration with the Digital Innovation Days brand.

Vilhelm Parfumerie special seeding

In celebration of Father’s Day, we made a careful selection of influencer-dad profiles to whom we sent the special perfume from Villhelm Parfumerie, a haute perfumery brand with New York roots whose fragrances are created in Paris, France, with renowned French perfumers Jérôme Épinette, Bertrand Duchaufour and Marc-Antoine Corticchiato. The designed packaging, featuring Vilhelm’s iconic yellow-colored packaging emblem, was complemented by a small bottle of Americano and a specially crafted thank-you note explaining the fragrance’s features, such as whiskey and bitter orange.

The Garden special guerrilla

To promote and communicate the opening of The Garden, an exclusive studio specialized in the Gyrotonic and Yoga method in Piazza 5 Giornate in Milan, we created a guerrilla through Greengraffiti® paintings, placed in strategic points of the city. The graffiti featured the pay-off of the concept and a reference to the wellness reality’s instagram page.

Innocent Tanto di cappellino campaign

A project designed to warm the spirits, and more. To amplify our client innocent’s “Tanto di Cappellino” campaign, we organized a guerrilla marketing activity for which we replicated the campaign’s woolen caps in a maxi version and used them to dress up the street bunting in a high-visibility area of Milan, Pta Genova – Navigli. Through media relations and digital pr activities we documented the whole thing on various social platforms and profiles and in national online and offline newspapers. The operation attracted great attention from both the public and the press, making it a successful case history for the firm and the brand.

Barberino’s x Peaky Blinders

To promote the Barberino’s barber shop chain’s new collection, Barberino x Peaky Blinders, on the occasion of the release of the latest season of the Netflix series, we devised a flash mob with costumed actors handing out specially created newspapers in which a keyword related to the series was hidden. The keyword became a discount code to be used in the salons. We also took care of the production of content that the brand then used on its social channels: we “embellished” some monuments in the MIlano area with Barberin’os products for Peaky Blinders to recreate the atmosphere of the 1920s. Finally, we were in charge of organizing an event dedicated to the brand’s clients, journalists, infleuncers and KOLs in a famous Milanese speakeasy.

Lil Milan tram

We proposed to our jewelry client Lil Milan a branding campaign focused on its most iconic product: Boys Tears. A shiny, golden Boys Tears streetcar lit up the central streets of Milan for a week. The line chosen was 1, the most central and elegant, with an iconic retro look. Through digital pr activities we chronicled and documented it on various platforms and social profiles.

Duvetica “Ciao Arcade”

Ciao Arcade” is a fashion video game launched by Duvetica to promote the FW 21-22 collection. We organized a guerrilla projection of the game’s teaser videos on some walls in downtown Milan illuminating the night with their hypnotic fluo-pop colors. The operation attracted great attention from both the public and the press, making it a successful case history for the studio and the brand.

Duvetica experiences

The experiences we organized for the premium clothing brand Duvetica are all coherent with each other and in most cases tell the story of one of the brand’s fundamental pillars: the sports lifestyle. In relation to the concept of the collection to be promoted from time to time, all experiences always included a moment of sporting activity: hiking in the woods and golf on Lake Como; skiing (and aprés skii) in Courmayeur and Verbier; tennis in Tuscany. Creators were involved through a paid arrangement, and original content was placed on both the client’s various social platforms and those of the talent.

Davines & Sea Sheperd

On the occasion of the Davines hair-care brand’s campaign Let’s Protect the Sea, we designed an experience in collaboration with the nonprofit organization active in protecting the seas Sea Sheperd. The guests, selected journalists and content creators, were involved in the activity of recovering some ghostnets – nets abandoned on the seabed – off the Ligurian coast. This activity provided a concrete narrative of the brand’s environmental commitment and produced extensive coverage both digital and in traditional media.

Espressoh pop up and lunch

On the occasion of the opening of the indie beauty brand espressoh’s pop up store in Milan’s Central Station, we organized a lunch with journalists and influencers from the industry. The choice of location was L’Immorale, a nearby restaurant consistent with the brand’s communication and aesthetic imagery. The table setting was made with products and elements of the brand. There was a make-up station where guests could try the products with the help of selected make-up artists. Through media relations and digital pr activities we narrated and documented the whole thing on various social platforms and profiles and in national online and offline newspapers.

Fujifilm – studio art gallery

A contemporary, white, aseptic art gallery dotted with glass cases in which printers and cameras are displayed like priceless jewels. The latest Fujifilm and Instax launch event organized by mm studio was a simple, large white space where the two brands coexisted separately enclosed in two huge boxes of colored plexiglass. Two different worlds communicating in parallel. On one side Fujifilm, serious, experienced, professional wrapped in green and red, on the other Instax, bright, playful, fun, yellow like the box that defines it. In addition, we organized, as if to act as a watershed, a photo set reminiscent of the living room of one’s own home where each guest was free to tell his or her story and be captured in a souvenir photo.

Voodoo 10° anniversary

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the independent jewelry brand Voodoo Jewels, we held a cocktail party at the Fondazione Sassetti in Milan followed by a placée dinner to which influencers and journalists were invited. At the same time, we presented the Voodoo 10 collection and set up a photo exhibition of streetstyle shots whose protagonists were ordinary people wearing jewelry from the new collection. Thanks to the guests’ varied interactions on social media, the evening, and consequently the new collection, had great success and visibility on social media. In addition, through media relations activities we reported and documented it in national online and offline newspapers.

Agee scouted by Lil Milan launch

In April 2022, we launched Agee scouted by Lil Milan, a vintage gold and gemstone jewelry brand, a spin off of the Lil Milan brand, a longtime client of mm Studio. To mark the occasion, we held a cocktail party with influencers and press. Passage catering offered the concept of champagne and chips, and the evening was enlivened by a DJ set. As an integral part of the set-up, the installation by La Fiorellaia stood out. Thanks to the guests’ varied interactions on social media, the evening, and consequently the new brand, was a great success and visibility on social media.

Happy Birthday Lanapo

In summer 2023, mm Studio organized a 3-day experience for some influencers and creators. The client was Lanapo, a sandal brand born in the 5 Terre-Liguria region. mm Studio proposed to welcome the talents to the brand’s homeland, allowing them to fully experience the local characteristics: from making pesto to beach restaurants. In this specific case, there was no financial investment in influencer involvement. All content made was done organically through posts and stories. During the experience, in addition to visiting the brand’s places of origin, it was also possible to visit the two shops on site.
